Electrical Boxes

We have teamed up with ALP and the City of Alexandria to bring more color and creativity to our streets! Our Electrical Box Wrap Project showcases artwork from talented local and professional artists, turning everyday utility boxes into eye-catching pieces of public art.

The project began in the summer of 2025, and we already have three wrapped boxes completed — with many more in the works!

We’re currently looking for artists to submit their designs to be featured on future boxes. It’s a great way to share your creativity and help make Alexandria an even more vibrant and inspiring place to live and visit.

Saturday Art Market

The Saturday Art Market is a popular seasonal event that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and community. Each Saturday during the summer months, Big Ole Park in Alexandria, Minnesota comes alive with local and regional artists showcasing and selling their work.

This weekly market provides a welcoming space for artists to connect directly with the public, share their creative process, and gain exposure within the community. Visitors can explore an inspiring variety of original artwork, including paintings, pottery, jewelry, textiles, prints, and handcrafted goods.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Big Ole Park, the Saturday Art Market invites residents and visitors alike to discover new artists, shop locally made pieces, and experience the energy of Alexandria’s growing arts community.
